As i lay in my trench
i think about my old park bench
As the shells crash down
i think about my son Robert Brown

As the machine guns chatter
i think of my journey over the ladder
As The gas leaks out
i start to wonder about what this wars about

As i go over the top
i see more and more bodies drop
As i sit in no mans land
I think about my old marching band

As i crouch in a crater
i wonder if ill be alive later
As the bullets fly over me
i pray one doesnt hit me
As my friends call for their mothers
i love them like brothers
As the germans charge at me
i want to flee
What will this war acomplish
external image imag0217.jpg
will i be alive to find out
War, what is it good for
absolutly nothing
